As the weather began to improve, things really started moving this May! At Jefferson and Ashland houses we started working on art projects for our upcoming art walk, as well as exploring other interests. Residents went to two theater events and we had the first BBQ of the summer!
At Ashland house, both Winnifred and Kaki had back-to-back birthdays. Kaki celebrated her 87th birthday, and Winnifred celebrated her 100th. Thank you to everyone who came to be a part of these events.
The best outing by far this month was the Rice NW Museum of Rocks and Minerals. Residents saw hundreds of different minerals, fossils, and more. There was a new exhibit of a mammoth tusk dated to 10,000 years ago.
We’re looking forward to the summer in Jefferson and Ashland houses, where there will be weekly Ice Cream Socials on the Jefferson patio. We get to spend time with our neighbors while feeding the koi as well.
