May 4 was a very fun afternoon for our residents. “Quatro de Mayo” was our way on getting a head start on celebrating Mexican culture and heritage a day early. We couldn’t possibly wait another day! All of our residents were invited to the Cascade Lawn on a very beautiful and sunny Thursday afternoon. Tortilla Chips and homemade Guacamole were the biggest hit of the afternoon with Mexican soda and other Mexican style desserts also served.
Two pinatas were also set up on the lawn for everyone to enjoy, it was a lot of fun looking on as a mountain full of candy poured out. This celebration was a great way to get warmed up for nice weather as our Summer BBQ season is starting to get underway! What a wonderful opportunity for us to gather together with good food, friends, and community. Coopers “Person”, the whole campus, and the person who hit him. We have a dog run behind the barn. It is a great place to let your dog run loose. Throw a ball for them and have fun. Please make sure all the gates are closed before you let your dog loose.
