The gentlemen of Fanno Creek in mind; however, two of our ladies were especially excited and “over the top” during the tour. There is so much to see and do, that we were not able to experience it all (i.e. the simulators and the Wall of Sound). It was such a huge hit with the residents, they requested a return visit sometime in the near future. The exhibits change periodically, and we were excited to hear that American Muscle Cars would be the next featured exhibit! After our tour was finished we sat at the Grab N’ Go Café by the entrance and enjoyed some fresh, hot coffee and a sweet treat before heading home. And our third enrichment outing was to The Oregon Historical Society in downtown Portland. The Oregon Historical Society is dedicated to making Oregon’s long, rich history visible and accessible to all. “For more than a century, they have served as the state’s collective memory, gathering and reserving a vast collection of artifacts, photographs, films, manuscripts, books, and oral histories.” The residents were very interested in the vast and rich history of their beautiful state and enjoyed this outing very much! To wrap our month up we were blessed with another visit from our favorite miniature horse, Ruby, and her kind, generous, and funny humans!
Our Celebration of Life for Pat R. was very beautiful. Residents, family members, and staff shared warm and funny memories about this beautiful woman who stole all our hearts on her first day here at Fanno Creek. RIP beautiful lady. We will always miss you.
We are all looking forward to more of the same in April as we celebrate Easter with a Family Brunch and a visit from the Easter Bunny on April 15th!
