Spring is my favorite time of year because it’s not too hot. I love seeing all the people out enjoying the weather and the beautiful surroundings. What a great time to visit and spend quality time with mom and/or dad. On the first Sunday of June we are starting an ice cream social on the porch of Jefferson house. This will happen every Sunday in the afternoon. Be sure to bring your kids and grandkids to enjoy an ice cream with grandma or great-grandma / pa.

In a couple of months we will celebrate the founding of our Nation with the annual 4th of July BBQ. Our chefs are working hard to make sure we have great food and the Activities Coordinators are planning fun games. Please stay tuned for details and we hope to see you there. BBQ season will start soon, subject to weather, we will be gathering at the lawn in front of Cascade House every Wednesday. As part of the BBQ, we are planning a Talent Show on July 19th. We are calling all team members and the family members of our residents to participate. Do you have a talent you would like to share with us? It can be music, juggling, telling jokes etc. The Activities Coordinators will send out invitations for this talent show case in mid-June.
