Keeping Residents Safe and Connected During These Different Times

Keeping Spirits High

Elite Care is following best practices and recommendations from CDC, OHP, DHS, and infection control specialists to provide a safe place to live and work during the global pandemic. Elite Care’s unique design allows our residents the ability to maintain their daily routines. This continued autonomy provides our residents with a sense of calm and serenity in their daily lives. With social distancing measures in place, our residents are still able to enjoy home-cooked meals in our open chef’s kitchen and walk our beautiful grounds taking in Oregon’s spectacular views. Being involved and included make all the difference between thriving and declining.

Working with the best for safety

We proactively collaborated with a top CDC Infectious Disease Geriatric Consultant to gain knowledge and craft policies and procedures to protect our residents and staff.

High Standards

We implemented safety standards above and beyond what the state requires to keep our residents’ safety a top priority.

Always improving

We continually reevaluate our safety protocols, staff training, and education on COVID-19 as more information is known and released.

Using Technology for connection

We keep our residents connected with their family and friends with assisted virtual calls, telehealth, and outdoor visits.

Are you able to admit new residents during COVID-19?

Yes, we can safely admit new residents. Please complete this form and someone from our team will be in touch shortly.

Are you an Assisted Living Facility?

We are licensed by the State of Oregon as a Residential Care Facility. Residential care refers to long-term care given to adults in a residential setting rather than in their own home or large facility. The level of care in residential care homes is more personal because there is a higher caregiver to resident ratio. Assisted Living communities tend to be larger with more residents.

Do you have Memory Care?

Our staff is trained to care for individuals with dementia, and our house design enables us to provide care for people with memory issues alongside others who do not. We do not have a separate secure Memory Care unit, but we do care for residents with memory issues.

What is the care staff to resident ratio during the daytime? During the nighttime?

We provide best-in-class care with an above-average care staff to resident ratio. During our daytime shift, we have one care staff for every 6 residents. Our nighttime shift is two care staff to every 12 residents. We also have a full time Licensed Nurse on staff. On average during our daytime shift, we have one care staff to every 6-7 residents.

Do you take Medicaid?

We are private pay but are licensed for Medicaid. We have residents who have Long Term Care Insurance, a Veterans’s Aid Program, and Attendance Benefits.

How much does it cost to live at Elite Care?

Our basic service includes a month-to-month lease, a 24/7 monitoring system, a private one-bedroom suite with bathroom, online daily updates on resident well-being, laundry & housekeeping, meals, and a daily activity program. Do people have to share suites?

No, each apartment is a private one-bedroom/bathroom. We welcome couples.

Can people bring their pets?

Yes! Pets are very important to our residents. There are no restrictions for residents and their pets. Indoors pets and their companion soak up attention in our living and family rooms as well as nest away in their own suites. Outside, residents and their pets are free to enjoy the multiple acres of walking paths and, at our Oatfield Estates location, there is even a dog park.

Are there daily activities?

Yes! Each month our Activities Team finds new ways to keep our community active and engaged in both mental and physical activities.

What makes the chef or dining program at Elite Care exceptional?

Our kitchens are the heart of each home. Our chefs do not hide behind the walls of a commercial kitchen but engage with the residents while preparing home-cooked meals each day. Our personal chefs are able to cater to the specific dietary needs of our residents.

Do you offer transportation?

Transportation is available to all residents. General outings are regularly scheduled via our Activity Program. Our small community model and individual house design encourage personalized care and a high staff to resident ratio. Our staff knows each of our resident’s routines creating a safe and intimate environment.

How do you keep families informed?

Elite Care keeps families informed via the Elite Care Family Portal. Care staff regularly update each resident’s profile with photos and health, medical, and personal information. We also share any policy changes, upcoming events, and other items via email, in our monthly newsletter, and during family nights.
